Patented Seamless Welds Without Adding Complexity

Joseph’s Seamless Weld System is a patented welding solution that enables flush, aesthetically clean corner welds on vinyl window and door frames — especially valuable for laminated or colored profiles where post-weld touchup is expensive and time-consuming.

How It Works

We use custom-engineered welding fixtures that apply controlled pressure and timing on the external faces of the profile during the weld. The result is a smooth, seamless outer corner that requires little to no sanding or cleanup — all without changing the core machine platform or adding process steps.

Benefits for Window & Door Manufacturers

No Cleanup on Aesthetic Faces
Less Rework

on high-end finishes (laminated, woodgrain, painted)

No Added Complexity

same machine, better output

Standard on Joseph Welders

no bolt-ons or external units required

Used Across:

  • Vinyl Window Production
  • Patio Door Systems
  • Residential Door Fabrication

Frequently Asked Questions

Does jSEAMLESS remove all seams from the welded window?

No. jSEAMLESS is focused on the visual surfaces you see once the window is installed — cleaning is still required on the inner surfaces. On some profiles it is possible to form a pinched “bulb” along the back edge to eliminate that clean as well. Either way, jSEAMLESS saves cycle time in the cleaning process, and because it fits on any Joseph J-Weld machine, existing cleaning equipment can be repurposed inline.

Does jSEAMLESS affect break strength?

Testing indicates that AAMA break strengths are able to be maintained across frame and sash profiles. This is dependent on your material and your specific profiles.

Does jSEAMLESS impact the welding cycle time?

Approximately 1–3 seconds are added to the weld cycle compared with the same welder running non-seamless fixtures.

Does jSEAMLESS work with acrylic capstock profiles?

Yes. Break strength may be reduced due to the manner in which the seam is formed, so we recommend material testing on your existing profiles.

Does jSEAMLESS work on patio doors and panels?

Yes. Three sizes of fixtures exist in order to accommodate large door profiles in addition to window frame and sash.

Can jSEAMLESS run multi-pocket profiles?

Yes. The system is designed to run up to four pockets per corner, with three sizes of heat plate to choose from depending on the profile sizes being run. Four-pocket sash and three-pocket frame are both able to be accommodated.

Are there any changes to the base welder to accommodate jSEAMLESS?

No. The base welder is a standard servo J-Weld welder. Both jSEAMLESS and standard weld fixtures can be rapid-changed on the welding heads.
